Why this page exists

You came here expecting audio examples. I am not going to give you any. Not yet.

Two reasons. First, every "before and after" I have seen in this space uses anonymous client demos that I cannot verify existed. Second, I do not have permission to publish audio of the work I have done so far, and making up demo names like "Late Night Drive" or "Paper Wings" to fill the space would be exactly the kind of claim I want to avoid.

So instead of audio, you get something more useful for an evaluation: a precise description of what actually moves between a raw Suno or Udio stem and a finished version. Numbers, decisions, instruments. If you want to hear the work itself, the free diagnostic on a real demo is the honest path. The form at the bottom of this page reaches me directly.

What Humanize changes

Humanize keeps your AI generation intact. The synthesis runs underneath; we process the output so the listening tells stop being tells. $197. 5 days. Streaming-ready at -14 LUFS.

The metallic shimmer (2 to 6 kHz)

The artifact

Suno and Udio both produce a narrow-band resonance centered around 3 to 5 kHz that reads as "shiny" or "metallic" on headphones. It is the giveaway. It does not exist on acoustic instruments in nature and trained ears flag it within seconds.

What Humanize does

A dynamic EQ cut at the problem frequency, with a Q around 1.4 to keep it surgical. The cut is matched to the level of the resonance; on the worst cases we use a soft de-esser-like behavior to catch the peaks. No broadband cuts, that would dull the whole track.

The hollow low end (40 to 80 Hz)

The artifact

The bass region on AI tracks is often a perfect sine subwoofer signal with almost no harmonic content above the fundamental. It feels "there and not there" at the same time: pressure without texture.

What Humanize does

Saturation with even harmonic emphasis, then a gentle compressor on the bass band. The harmonics give the ear something to lock onto, so the bass sounds weighted instead of sterile. We do not add sub harmonic content; that lies about what your track is.

Robotic sibilance and formant drift

The artifact

AI vocals have inconsistent sibilance. The "s" on one word sounds natural, the next "s" hits like a snare. Sustained vowels drift in pitch by a few cents where a human singer would not.

What Humanize does

Multi-band de-essing with lookahead, set above 6 kHz only. Targeted micro-pitch correction on problematic sustains, less than 20 cents. We do not run autotune-style processing that makes everything "in tune" at the cost of expression.

Quantized timing

The artifact

Drums and rhythmic elements hit the grid with sub-2ms deviation. Real musicians drift within a 15 to 30ms window. The perfection is what makes it sound unnatural.

What Humanize does

Manual swing adjustment on a per-section basis. We do not run random quantization shuffle plugins; the swing has to feel right in context of the song, not statistically.

What Full Rebuild replaces

Full Rebuild reconstructs your song note by note with real instruments. Your melody, chords, tempo, and structure stay. The actual instruments that play them become human. From $497. 14 days for a single, 21 days for an EP.

Drums

AI source

Sampled kits, often a single velocity layer, no room sound. Snares are the same sample on every hit.

Rebuild

Live drum kit recorded in a treated room. Multiple takes, real hits, real bleed between mics, real human velocity variance. We choose the kit and the heads to match the song. Not a sample library swap, an actual recording.

Bass

AI source

Sterile sine sub or amp-sim with no room. Bass notes are present but the audience does not feel them.

Rebuild

Electric bass or upright bass, recorded direct plus a room mic, with a real amp and a real cabinet. We do not model that. We plug into the hardware.

Synths and keys

AI source

Stereo shimmering pads with brittle high end. Acoustic piano emulation that sounds like sampled piano in a fishbowl.

Rebuild

Hardware synths (the analog ones, with actual pitch drift and overshoot), recorded at line level. Acoustic keys are real piano or real rhodes, mic'd with proper stereo technique. The artifacts we are trying to remove cannot be modeled away, so we do not try.

Guitars

AI source

Amp-sim distortion plumes with no interaction. Clean guitars have phasey stereo that screams "plugin."

Rebuild

Real guitar amps, mics in front of them, room mics for the air. Distortion comes from pushed speakers and tubes, not algorithms. Choice of guitar, pickup position, and amp is decided per section.

What we do not do

  • We do not change your melody, chords, tempo, or structure. If the song is the song, we keep it.
  • We do not run your track through an "AI humanizer" claim service. The processing we do is targeted and informed by what the AI actually generates.
  • We do not claim 100% AI detection pass rates. Detection tools are inconsistent. Our reference is whether trained listeners can pick the track out as AI, not whether a tool says so.
  • We do not publish client demos without written permission. That is why the audio on this page is empty.
The honest version You came here to hear before and after audio. I cannot give you that yet with integrity, so I gave you this instead. If you want to hear the work, send a demo through the form below for a free diagnostic. I will listen, write back with exactly what I would change and which service fits, no commitment.
